Bid Success – June 2026: SecurePro Managing Director Joins Stourbridge BID as Core Director

SecurePro is delighted to announce that Managing Director, Tom Booth, has been appointed as a Core Director of Stourbridge Business Improvement District (BID).

As the owner of SecurePro, a leading Security and Crowd Management company based on Lower High Street, Tom brings a wealth of experience in business leadership, strategic planning, public safety and community engagement. SecurePro proudly employs more than 50 people from across the Black Country and has built a strong reputation for delivering professional security services to businesses, events and public sector organisations throughout the region.

Tom’s appointment reflects his commitment not only to the success of SecurePro but also to the future prosperity of Stourbridge town centre and its business community.

Stourbridge BID works to support local businesses, improve the town centre environment and drive economic growth through collaborative initiatives, events and investment. As a Core Director, Tom will help shape the BID’s strategic direction and champion initiatives that benefit businesses operating within the town centre.

Speaking about his appointment, Tom said:

“I’m incredibly proud to be joining the BID as a Core Director and to have the opportunity to support the future of Stourbridge. I truly believe the town can thrive when businesses come together with a shared vision and a common goal. With the right collaboration, ambition and community spirit, Stourbridge has a very bright future ahead.”

Tom is particularly passionate about supporting initiatives that strengthen the local economy, enhance public safety and encourage greater collaboration between businesses. Drawing on SecurePro’s expertise in security and event management, he hopes to contribute to creating a vibrant, welcoming and prosperous town centre that attracts visitors, investment and new opportunities.

At SecurePro, we believe strong communities are built through partnership, leadership and shared ambition. We look forward to supporting Tom in his new role and working alongside fellow businesses to help Stourbridge continue to grow and succeed.

Supporting a Thriving Town Centre

Stourbridge has long been recognised for its rich history, independent businesses and strong sense of community. Like many town centres across the UK, however, it faces challenges including changing consumer habits, increased competition from online retailers and the need to attract more visitors into the town.

Tom believes that the solution lies in collaboration between businesses, local stakeholders and community organisations. Through the BID, there is an opportunity to bring businesses together around a common vision for the future of Stourbridge, ensuring that the town remains an attractive destination for residents, visitors and investors alike.

One of the key priorities for the BID is increasing footfall and encouraging people to spend more time within the town centre. This can be achieved through a combination of business engagement, town centre improvements, events, marketing initiatives and creating a safe and welcoming environment for everyone who visits.

Bringing Business and Community Together

As a local business owner, Tom understands first-hand the challenges that businesses face. From recruitment and rising operating costs to changing customer expectations, business owners need strong representation and practical support.

His involvement with the BID provides an opportunity to ensure that the voices of local businesses are heard and that initiatives are developed with the needs of levy-paying businesses at their core. By working together, businesses can share ideas, identify opportunities and create a stronger collective presence that benefits the wider town centre economy.

Tom is also a strong advocate for creating partnerships that extend beyond individual sectors. Retailers, hospitality venues, professional services, leisure operators and community organisations all have an important role to play in shaping the future success of Stourbridge.

Looking Ahead

As SecurePro continues to grow across the West Midlands and beyond, the company remains firmly committed to supporting the communities in which it operates. Being based in Stourbridge means the success of the town is closely linked to the success of local businesses, employees and residents.

Tom’s appointment to the BID Board represents another step in SecurePro’s ongoing commitment to making a positive contribution to the local area. Through leadership, collaboration and a shared ambition for growth, there is a genuine opportunity to build a stronger, safer and more prosperous future for Stourbridge.

Everyone at SecurePro would like to thank the Stourbridge BID team and fellow Board members for their warm welcome. We look forward to working together to support local businesses, enhance the visitor experience and help create a town centre that people are proud to visit, work in and invest in for years to come.
